Cities & Local Authorities

A green public space inspires, soothes and brings people together.

A city that breathes is a city where people enjoy lingering. Every square and every greened street changes how residents experience their local area.

Define spaces without barriers

A row of planted troughs defines a pedestrian area, shields a café terrace and channels foot traffic. Where a barrier restricts, planting invites. Planting troughs structure public spaces with a gentle touch and can be repositioned by your technical teams as needs change: markets, events, seasons.

Address urban heat islands

Shade, freshness, evapotranspiration, mineral surfaces protected from direct sunlight: planter-grown plants cool city centres where in-ground planting is impossible: paved squares, forecourts, pedestrian streets, underground utilities.

Robust, stable, long-lasting

Public spaces are unforgiving. Our professional containers are designed for intensive use: frost-resistant, impact-resistant materials; weight and a base that ensure stability; and controlled drainage for both plant health and clean ground surfaces. Minimal maintenance, years of service.

Quantities and lead times met

Equipping a street, town centre or district requires consistent ranges: the same shapes and shades, available in quantity and delivered in a single shipment. Our ranges are produced in large series, with coordinated colours, and made to measure where the project requires it.

Urban comfort

Plants guide, protect and invite, without resorting to defensive street furniture.

Climate resilience

Shade and freshness to better withstand heatwaves.

Regional attractiveness

A flourishing, well-kept area that gets people talking and inspires pride.

Frequently asked questions

Which planters are suitable for a public space exposed to frost and impacts?

Fibre concrete and galvanised metal are best suited to high-traffic areas: frost-resistant, stable and impact-resistant. Frost-resistant glazed ceramic brings colour and character to more sheltered locations: town hall forecourts, school playgrounds and village squares.

Is planter-based greening effective against urban heat islands?

Yes. A plant in a planter provides shade, cools the air through evapotranspiration and protects mineral surfaces from direct sunlight. It is the quickest greening solution to deploy where planting in the ground is impossible, and it contributes to local authorities’ environmental initiatives.

Can you supply large quantities with a consistent finish?

Yes: our ranges are produced in series with consistent colours, and production can accommodate the quantities required for a complete urban development. We confirm quantities and lead times as soon as the project has been reviewed.

Can planters define a pedestrian area or terrace?

It is one of their best uses: a line of planted planters creates a visible boundary, remains accessible to emergency services and can be repositioned as needs change (markets, events, seasons), without roadworks.
